Driving the Future of Smart Logistics in Africa

Star International was proud to be part of the National Transport, Logistics & Infrastructure Conference 2026, held from 9–11 September at Elephant Hills Resort, Victoria Falls. The conference brought together leaders and professionals across transport, logistics, infrastructure, technology and the public and private sectors under the theme: “Driving Sustainable Transport, Logistics Excellence and Infrastructure Development for Economic Transformation.” Representing Star International, our Managing Director, Molly Chinyama, delivered a featured session on: “Smart Logistics & Digital Transformation in Supply Chains: Enabling Sustainable and Connected Transport Ecosystems.” Her presentation explored the importance of moving beyond traditional logistics models towards connected, technology-enabled ecosystems that use digital platforms, data and intelligent technologies to improve how goods, people and information move across our region. The conversation reinforced an important reality: Africa does not simply need more logistics capacity — we need smarter, more connected and more integrated logistics ecosystems. Digital transformation presents an opportunity to address some of the long-standing challenges facing supply chains, including limited visibility, fragmented systems, inefficient processes and connectivity gaps. At Star International, this is the future we are actively building towards — leveraging technology, AI and digital platforms to create more connected and intelligent logistics solutions for Zimbabwe, SADC and the wider African market. We were honoured to contribute to this important conversation and to engage with industry leaders who are shaping the future of transport and logistics across the continent. He also highlighted the transformative role artificial intelligence (AI) will play in the future of logistics—a vision that aligns closely with our mission. This milestone is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and forward-thinking leadership at Star International Logistics. It motivates us to continue raising the bar in logistics operations, ensuring excellence for our clients and partners every step of the way.
